Senior Data Engineer (Fintech)

TL;DR

Senior Data Engineer (AWS/GCP): Building and operating data infrastructure components for hirify.global Pay with an accent on ingestion logic, CDC, and shared platform components. Focus on implementing reliable data delivery across hybrid cloud environments and ensuring high compliance standards.

Location: Hybrid (Vilnius or Kaunas, Lithuania). 2 days in office are recommended.

Salary: €4,817 - €6,517 gross per month

What you will do

• Own the design, implementation, and operation of data infrastructure components for hirify.global Pay.
• Build and maintain ingestion and CDC logic for reliable data delivery in AWS and GCP.
• Manage and optimize Airflow DAGs and dbt models under high reliability and compliance standards.
• Collaborate with ML, Experimentation, and Impact teams to enable shared tooling adoption.
• Support payment engineers with Kubernetes deployments and platform configuration.
• Improve system observability, operational readiness, and participate in on-call rotations.

Requirements

• Strong programming skills in Python, Scala, or Java.
• Experience building and operating data pipelines at scale.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and GCP.
• Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
• Comfortable owning production systems and working in an on-call rotation.
• Must be based in or be able to work from Vilnius or Kaunas, Lithuania.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kafka, Airflow, or CDC.
• Background in ML serving or working within regulated environments.
