Senior Software Engineer (Fintech)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and evolve platform functionalities for interest calculation and financial processing in scalable, cost-efficient ways.
• Contribute to feature evolution and maintenance in hybrid architecture using Java microservices, Databricks, and Airflow.
• Identify technical impediments, promote continuous improvement, and coordinate refinement based on business specs.
• Manage technical backlog, communicate with stakeholders, and leverage AI-assisted tools for efficiency.
• Conduct stress, load, and performance testing; analyze and debug distributed systems issues.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to pilot new technologies enhancing performance and user experience.

Requirements

• Based in Brazil and available for on-call rotation.
• English proficiency at B2 level or above.
• 4+ years in product development or software engineering in tech or financial services.
• Strong Java proficiency, working knowledge of Python and Big Data tools (Databricks, Airflow, Spark).
• Experience with microservices architecture, cloud-native development (AWS preferred), CI/CD, and observability tools (Grafana).
• Skills in concurrency, multi-threading, distributed systems, backlog management, and remote multicultural teamwork.

Nice to have

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Work in multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure).
