Salary: $116k/year - $159k/year + 30% incentive bonus target

What you will do

• Underwrite Inland Marine coverages for new business and renewals according to guidelines and authority level.
• Analyze complex loss data, apply experience and loss rating, and collaborate with actuaries.
• Quote, bind accounts, provide policy review and rating guidance.
• Present at underwriting meetings with executives, insureds, and brokers.
• Participate in claims reviews and large risk strategy.
• Cultivate broker relationships and present marketing strategies in the Northeast Region.
• Collaborate with regional leadership and mentor less experienced underwriters.

Requirements

• 8+ years of complex retail & wholesale Inland Marine underwriting experience
• Expert understanding of Inland Marine coverages, AAIS/COP forms, broker manuscripts.
• Demonstrated technical knowledge from positions of increasing responsibility.
• Strong marketing, relationship building, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel).
• Up to 25% travel

• Four-year college degree.
• CPCU or similar designation.
