Salary: $170,000–$220,000 CAD base + equity.

What you will do

• Drive ambiguous high-impact problems from idea to production.
• Partner with Product and Design to define scope, trade-offs, and execution plans.
• Design, build, and evolve production systems focused on reliability and maintainability.
• Balance speed and quality while sharing ownership including on-call and incident response.
• Contribute to technical and product decisions shaping team direction.
• Improve team standards, tooling, and processes.

Requirements

• Strong product and customer judgment with proven ownership of production systems including reliability and on-call.
• Comfort working through ambiguity and making trade-offs with incomplete information.
• Desire to improve craft and systems continuously with curiosity, pragmatism, and bias for action.
• Active use of AI tools in daily workflow for development, debugging, and learning.
• Experience with backend development using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Relational databases such as Postgres, observability/monitoring (e.g., Datadog), containerized/cloud environments.
