Engineering Team Lead (DevEx)

Engineering Team Lead (DevEx): Leading the developer experience team to accelerate development velocity and enhance code quality for the AI platform (AI Studio, Le Chat, Mistral Vibe) with an accent on CI/CD optimization and developer tooling. Focus on building scalable developer platforms, streamlining workflows, and managing a team of high-performing engineers.

Location: Must be based in Paris, France (Hybrid: at least 3 days per week in office)

What you will do

• Lead and empower a team of approximately five engineers, removing blockers and owning execution.
• Own the delivery of the DevEx roadmap, including CI/CD, build systems, and cloud registry optimizations (Docker, Azure, GCP).
• Partner with engineering teams to define priorities and scope initiatives based on productivity impact.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership in architecture design, system design, and peer reviews.
• Define and evolve team processes, best practices, and execution rituals for developer workflows.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and increase the team's bus factor through knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in Developer Experience (DevEx), DevOps, or related fields.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Python, Go, and JavaScript/TypeScript, with experience in infrastructure as code.
• Proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams in developer tooling or infrastructure.
• Strong expertise with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins) and cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Location: Must be based in Paris, France.
