What you will do

• Lead the end-to-end development of AI solutions using Computer Vision, ML, and Generative AI for automated metadata generation and event detection.
• Design models for player performance, contextual statistics, and injury risk based on ethical AI principles.
• Integrate model-driven insights into personalization engines to tailor recommendations for fans.
• Own the MLOps lifecycle, including A/B testing, experiment tracking, drift detection, and production monitoring.
• Architect low-latency, highly reliable cloud-based AI systems to handle peak traffic during live sports events.
• Mentor senior and mid-level data scientists and shape the overall technical roadmap.

Requirements

• Extensive lead-level engineering experience delivering sports data-driven ML systems.
• Deep expertise in sports datasets (event, tracking data) and converting them into predictive insights.
• Advanced proficiency in Python and ML/DL frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Strong MLOps experience, including CI/CD, model registries, and infrastructure as code.
• Proven ability to design scalable, low-latency streaming architectures for real-time use cases.
• Must be able to work in a hybrid model from the London (Osterley) office.
