What you will do

• Develop and optimize core generative models for graphics and video processing in live streaming and game rendering.
• Research and prototype new methods for graphics/video enhancement and data generation pipelines.
• Collaborate on drafting technical publications and patent submissions.
• Contribute to core R&D work across various teams within Sony Interactive Entertainment.

Requirements

• PhD or MSc in Computer Science, AI, ML, Computer Graphics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of demonstrable research experience in industry or academia.
• Proficiency in TensorFlow or PyTorch and Python (minimum 5 years experience for Senior level).
• Evidence of technical leadership through at least one research publication in top-tier conferences (CVPR, ECCV, ICCV, SIGGRAPH, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of neural network architectures, including convolutional, transformer-based, and diffusion-based models.

Nice to have

• Publications in IEEE Transactions, NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, or similar journals.
• Theoretical understanding of the graphics pipeline (PBR materials, rasterization, lighting, and ray tracing).
• Experience with 3D engines such as Unreal or Unity.
• Practical experience in image processing theory and methods.
