What you will do

• Drive key architectural decisions for the large-scale re-imagining of Site Generation and Site Builder experiences.
• Design and develop cloud-native APIs, microservices, and frontend experiences using React and Node.js.
• Collaborate with AI, product, and design teams to implement AI-augmented workflows into the platform.
• Write clean, testable, and scalable code across the entire stack.
• Take ownership of major features and services to deliver high-impact customer outcomes.

Requirements

• Must be based in Canada
• 5+ years of professional full-stack engineering experience (strong backend lean).
• Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, and React.
• Experience with AWS, scalable microservices, GraphQL, and event-driven systems (Kafka/SQS).
• Hands-on experience with modern AI tools, specifically Claude Code (required).
• Ability to operate independently and deliver high-quality features in rapid prototyping environments.

• Experience developing AI-driven solutions.
• Background in taking a product from MVP to scale.
