What you will do
- Develop, validate, and optimize manufacturing processes for opto-mechanical assemblies.
- Lead NPI transition from development to production, providing DFM and DFT support.
- Define and implement PFMEA, Control Plans, SOPs, and Work Instructions.
- Perform process capability analysis (Cp/Cpk), SPC, and GR&R studies.
- Conduct root cause investigations (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone) to drive yield improvement and scrap reduction.
- Collaborate with CMs and suppliers to ensure process stability and automotive compliance.
Requirements
- B.Sc. in Materials, Chemical, Mechanical Engineering or Optics.
- 5–7 years of experience as a Process Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven hands-on experience with automated opto-mechanical assembly (Pick-and-place, adhesive dispensing).
- Experience with PnP machines, specifically BESI or Datacon platforms.
- Strong proficiency in SPC, statistical analysis, and process validation methodologies.
- Experience in mass-production and clean room manufacturing.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of IATF 16949 automotive or high-reliability standards.
- Experience with reliability testing including thermal cycling, humidity, and vibration.
- Familiarity with JMP, advanced Excel, or SolidWorks.
