Senior/Lead Backend Engineer

What you will do

• Build a real-time digital twin of renewable generation and customer demand.
• Develop messaging interfaces with third-party providers.
• Build high-volume pipelines for processing customer energy consumption.
• Develop the backend for a consumer-facing energy application.
• Own projects, respond to changing business needs, and drive technical change.

Requirements

• Demonstrable excellence as a software engineer.
• Ideally, 2+ years of experience.
• Ability to define and build complex systems.
• Hands-on experience shipping highly available production systems.
• Clear communication skills.
• Availability to work remotely from the United States, Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Poland, or France.

Nice to have

• Infrastructure as code experience, such as AWS CDK.
• Experience in the energy sector.
• Experience shipping consumer-facing products.
