What you will do

  • Own daily operations of community platforms like Forum, Slack/Discord, ensuring they are organized and welcoming.
  • Facilitate discussions, welcome members, and maintain a safe, inclusive environment as first responder.
  • Build and manage a champions program with rewards, swag, and recognition for active contributors.
  • Gather and share user feedback, pain points, and feature requests with Product and DevRel teams.
  • Partner with Marketing and DevRel to coordinate User Groups, meetups, and grassroots events.
  • Distribute Developer Advocate content and highlight top threads, spotlights, and projects.
  • Track growth, engagement, and metrics to demonstrate community value in support reduction and retention.

Requirements

  • 4+ years in community management, ideally in technical, open-source, or B2B SaaS.
  • Exceptional relationship building; enjoy helping solve problems and connecting professionals.
  • Experience with community tools like Discourse, Slack, Bevy, Common Room for workflows.
  • Comfortable discussing developer topics like Kafka, ClickHouse, OpenSearch, Postgres.
  • Handle trolls, debates, and enforce guidelines calmly.
  • Manage global swag, leaderboards, and forum categories effectively.
  • Excellent written communication with warmth, clarity, and wit.
