What you will do

• Manage and coach 4-6 engineers for personal and professional growth to deliver high-impact work.
• Partner with Product Manager to build roadmap and ensure sustainable team processes.
• Oversee technical decisions and strategy for the product's high-traffic event-driven systems.
• Drive process improvements and contribute to engineering principles across the department.
• Collaborate with Design, Data, InfoSec, and other functions for end-to-end roadmap delivery.

Requirements

• Location: UK, Ireland, or Portugal
• Experience with Go or similar languages.
• At least 2 years management experience with direct reports and passion for people development.
• Proven senior software engineer experience on complex, large-scale, cloud-based systems.
• Strong understanding of high-performing, sustainable engineering teams.
• Excellent communication for technical and non-technical discussions; experience in payments, transfers, financial reconciliation.
• Comfortable with financial, risk, legal stakeholders; proactive ownership in ambiguous problems.
