What you will do

• Lead the architecture and design of scalable systems, focusing on design patterns, reliability, and performance optimization.
• Drive the full software development lifecycle from coding standards and code reviews to build processes and operations.
• Serve as a technical leader and mentor to engineering team members to raise the bar on technical excellence.
• Own the reliability and operational health of globally deployed, highly concurrent, and high-throughput systems.
• Collaborate with product and program management to translate complex business needs into scalable technical solutions.
• Identify opportunities to reduce cycle time and improve capital efficiency through technological innovation.

Requirements

• 6+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 3+ years of experience in design or architecture (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and existing systems.
• Proficiency in at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design.
• Location: Must be based in or be able to work from Luxembourg.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Experience designing and managing large-scale distributed systems or web services on AWS.
• Experience with databases (SQL, NoSQL) and big data tools like Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, or Kinesis.
• Knowledge of Agile or Scrum software development methodologies.
• Strong communication skills for presenting complex technical information to executives.
