TL;DR

Senior Software Engineer (Scala/AdTech): Designing and shipping features for high-performance backend systems used in omnichannel advertising with an accent on scalability, resiliency, and low-latency auction resolution. Focus on modernizing core branding systems, integrating new technologies, and mentoring junior engineers to ensure system reliability under heavy traffic.

Location: Hybrid in Montpellier, France (2 days remote per week)

What you will do

  • Design, build, and ship features across sophisticated backend systems primarily written in Scala.
  • Collaborate with international teams in France and Israel to solve complex problems in the AdTech space.
  • Champion software quality through robust testing, clean architecture, and mentoring junior engineers.
  • Contribute to full-stack development needs using Node.js and React applications.
  • Work in an Agile environment that values sustainable processes and open communication.

Requirements

  • Experience as a backend engineer, ideally proficient in JVM languages (Java, Kotlin, Scala).
  • Proven track record of designing and maintaining features in complex production environments.
  • Commitment to writing high-quality, well-tested code and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (both written and spoken).
  • Growth mindset and eagerness to learn new technologies.

Nice to have

  • Experience in the AdTech industry.
  • Frontend experience, especially with React.
