What you will do
- Develop and maintain scalable backend services and APIs for booking and loyalty systems.
- Design and implement event-driven architectures using Kafka for asynchronous communication.
- Ensure system reliability, security, and performance through rigorous testing and observability.
- Collaborate with product owners and business teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Optimize data aggregation and access layers for enterprise-level customer data.
- Contribute to the migration and modernization of central reservation systems.
Requirements
- Must be based in France for remote/hybrid work eligibility.
- 6+ years of experience in Java backend development.
- Strong expertise in Spring Boot and cloud-native architectures (AWS).
- Deep understanding of event-driven systems, queuing, and streaming concepts (Kafka).
- Proficiency in designing robust, performant APIs and microservices.
- Professional proficiency in English.
Nice to have
- Experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
- DevOps culture and production/infrastructure expertise.
- Experience with large-scale data modeling and B2B data aggregation.
