What you will do
- Design and implement ESD protection circuits for a diverse range of IC devices, including high-voltage (HV) structures and general purpose IOs.
- Establish and refine ESD and LUP rules for new process nodes, focusing on high-voltage test structures and silicon validation.
- Review customer specifications to determine optimal protection strategies and provide technical guidance to internal teams and partners.
- Direct and perform laboratory test procedures to verify that protection schemes meet performance targets.
- Lead the debugging and resolution of testing failures identified during production qualification or from field returns.
- Coordinate with CAD/Software teams to integrate ESD/LUP flows into standardized design environments.
Requirements
- M.S. in engineering or a related field.
- At least 10 years of professional work experience in hardware engineering.
- Strong fundamental understanding of device physics and semiconductor reliability.
- Experience with industry-standard EDA tools for verification, such as Calibre PERC and Ansys PathFinder.
- Excellent ability to communicate complex technical trade-offs to management and customers.
- Must be based in or able to work onsite in Chandler, AZ, USA.
