What you will do

• Drive strategy and execution of Okta’s U.S. public relations program with integrated media campaigns linking product and corporate milestones to identity, security, and AI conversations.
• Own media relations across business press, newsletters, podcasts, and creator-journalists, cultivating relationships to land high-impact stories.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of PR professionals and manage agency partners to ensure strategic thinking and executional excellence.
• Align cross-functionally with executives, product, security, and marketing teams for cohesive U.S. PR initiatives.
• Champion AI-driven tools and workflows for faster, data-driven PR, measuring and reporting business impact.

Requirements

• 15+ years in public relations or communications, preferably in-house at B2B tech company; proven scaling of corporate PR programs.
• Demonstrated experience leading and developing PR teams with a culture of excellence.
• Exceptional executive presence to advise leaders on high-profile projects.
• Deep relationships with journalists, editors, podcast hosts, and influencers in business, tech, and cybersecurity media.
• Exceptional storytelling skills to translate complex tech into compelling narratives.
• Experience with AI/automation in communications and global mindset for narrative consistency.
