TL;DR
Backend Engineer (Igaming): Design, build, and evolve backend solutions that power customer experiences and business capabilities in a high-traffic, regulated gaming platform with an accent on API design, data modeling, resilience, operability, and compliance. Focus on owning solutions end-to-end, implementing event-driven architectures, and collaborating in small autonomous product teams.
Location: Hybrid in Liège, Belgium (remote up to 50%)

What you will do
- Own backend solutions across their full lifecycle from design and implementation to release, monitoring, and iterative improvement
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Frontend Engineers, and other stakeholders
- Apply strong backend craftsmanship with focus on product impact, reliability, and compliance
- Continuously improve systems, practices, tooling, and ways of working in autonomous teams
Requirements
- Experience as Backend Engineer in product-oriented environments, ideally at scale or regulated contexts
- Strong backend fundamentals: API design, data modeling, testing, performance, resilience, operability
- Hands-on with .NET (C#), backend services, event-driven architectures (RabbitMQ, NServiceBus)
- Solid experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL) and production systems
- Familiarity with cloud (AWS, S3); ability to own solutions end-to-end
- Product-minded, collaborative, with ownership, pragmatism, and learning mindset
