Quality Assurance Engineer

TL;DR

Quality Assurance Engineer (SaaS/PaaS): Executing QA processes and automated testing to support quality delivery of Veterans Benefits Administration solutions with an accent on test strategies, automation, and performance testing. Focus on developing test plans, executing test cases, generating test data, and documenting results across unit, functional, regression, and scalability testing.

Location: Remote (US Citizen required, ability to obtain Public Trust clearance)

What you will do

• Develop testing strategies for manual and automated testing to ensure solution functionality.
• Create test plans, test cases, generate test data, execute tests, and document results.
• Plan and execute User Acceptance Testing covering multiple user personas.
• Complete all quality testing including unit, functional, automation, regression, performance, and scalability.
• Develop and maintain test case repositories in tools like Xray with reporting on releases, defects, and coverage.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related scientific/technical discipline
• 5+ years experience with software development, quality assurance, and software testing
• Experience developing and implementing test strategies independently
• Experience with automation and performance testing tools (Provar preferred)
• Experience with agile methodologies: Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, or eXtreme Programming
• US Citizen with ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination

Nice to have

• Experience working in Federal Government or Veterans Administration
• Experience testing Salesforce applications (Salesforce Certifications preferred)
• Certified Test Engineer (CSTE) or similar QA certification
