Intensive Service Intern (Social Work)

TL;DR

Intensive Service Intern (Social Work): Assisting case management teams in supporting the long-term integration of refugees and humanitarian immigrants in the Baltimore area with an accent on service planning and resource coordination. Focus on facilitating access to medical care, conducting orientation sessions, and managing case documentation.

Location: Hybrid (Greater Baltimore area). Must be based in the Baltimore area and able to work in-office at least 3 days per week.

What you will do

• Support intensive and extended case management for vulnerable refugees, asylees, and humanitarian immigrants.
• Develop individualized service plans utilizing medical, social, vocational, and financial resources.
• Assist clients with arranging transportation to medical and other required appointments.
• Conduct virtual home or community-based orientation sessions on essential local resources.
• Maintain detailed case notes and documentation.

Requirements

• Prior experience or strong interest in case management, social work, or public health.
• Fluency in English is required; bilingual ability in local client languages is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based database applications.
• Valid driver's license and reliable access to an insured vehicle for travel within Baltimore.
• Availability to work a minimum of 15 hours per week from June 8 to September 11, 2026.
