What you will do

• Design and layout advanced substrates and IC packages, including high-speed lines.
• Develop and utilize script-based layout tools to optimize design flows.
• Perform design rule checking (DRC) and layout vs schematic (LVS) checks.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and power/signal integrity engineers to ensure requirements are met.
• Partner with substrate and package vendors to define panel, stack-up, and other specifications.
• Evaluate fabbed parts through visual inspection and electrical characterization of high-speed lines.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Material Science, Electrical, Computer, or Mechanical Engineering (or related science/engineering field).
• At least 12 years of experience (Bachelors), 10+ years (Masters), or 7+ years (PhD).
• Deep expertise in Cadence layout tools (Allegro Package Design, Innovus, Virtuoso) and other EDA tools (Calibre, Klayout).
• Broad understanding of multilayer high-speed RF-design, surface mount technology, and package manufacturing processes.
• Experience in simulating designs and providing technical improvement suggestions.
