TL;DR

Field Service Representative (FSR): Responsible for the overall function of deployable communications systems from delivery to deployment with an accent on system assembly, installation, configuration, programming, optimization, and maintenance. Focus on troubleshooting malfunctions, providing on-site end-user training, and ensuring efficient on-site installation, repair, and test activities.

Location: Onsite in San Antonio, TX with 24/7 support required

Salary: $75,000 - $80,000 annually

What you will do

  • Assemble, install, and configure deployable communications systems per site assessments and schematics
  • Complete system programming, optimization, routine maintenance, and hardware configurations
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues, replace components, and resolve problems efficiently
  • Provide on-site end-user training on system operation, maintenance, and limited troubleshooting
  • Produce analytical service reports and maintain effective customer communications
  • Collaborate with team and customers to discern needs, offer recommendations, and build trust

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI clearance required
  • High School diploma with 3-6 years experience or commensurate
  • 1-3 years networking and/or system administration experience
  • DoD 8140 IAT Level II (Sec+CE, SSCP, CND, CCNA Security, etc.)
  • Ability to support 24/7 operations
  • Familiarity with SATCOM terminals and networking equipment
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational skills; ability to work independently and in teams

Nice to have

  • Experience with DoD deployed communications
  • Experience with DoD NIPR, SIPR, and JWICS Networks
  • IT Help Desk experience
