What you will do

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of hybrid mobile applications using Swift, Kotlin, and React Native.
• Drive the architecture and technical direction for the mobile ecosystem to ensure scalability across multiple products.
• Collaborate with embedded, cloud, and hardware teams to deliver seamless end-to-end connected product experiences.
• Establish and uphold high standards for code quality, performance, reliability, and CI/CD best practices.
• Mentor other engineers through code reviews, technical guidance, and knowledge sharing.
• Partner with product and UX leadership to translate the product vision into robust technical solutions.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work from London, UK
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Deep hands-on expertise in native iOS (Swift) and/or Android (Kotlin) development.
• Proven ability to lead technical design and architecture for complex mobile applications.
• Proficiency with Xcode, Android Studio, Git, Gradle, CocoaPods, and Swift Package Manager.
• Strong understanding of full-stack system architecture and mobile-to-cloud integration patterns.

Nice to have

• Experience with Rust for cross-platform or shared modules, or knowledge of C/C++.
• Familiarity with BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) and Wi-Fi connectivity protocols.
• Background in robotics, smart home products, or consumer electronics.
• Knowledge of React Navigation, React Query, and Protobuf APIs.
