What you will do

• Design and execute analysis pipelines on sequencing data within a cloud-based environment.
• Collaborate with lab scientists, bioinformatic scientists, and clinical partners to define requirements and influence the scientific platform.
• Create new algorithms and apply state-of-the-art approaches to extract biological insights from high-throughput data.
• Utilize quantitative and computational methods to validate results and strengthen the impact of findings.

Requirements

• MS or PhD in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• 3+ years of relevant industry or academic experience in a hands-on bioinformatics role.
• Demonstrated experience analyzing large-scale Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) datasets (WGS, WES, RNA-seq).
• Expert proficiency in Python for complex data analysis and proficiency in UNIX.
• Strong foundation in statistics and quantitative analyses.
• Proficiency with Git, Docker, unit testing, and cloud environments (AWS/GCP) using tools like WDL, Nextflow, or Snakemake.
