Salary: £72,702 – £80,780

What you will do
- Act as a Key Management Officer (KMO) using dual-control and split-knowledge procedures.
- Manage HSM lifecycle operations including key generation, rotation, and decommissioning.
- Design and operate secure key management platforms backed by HSMs.
- Engineer CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code to automate cryptographic services.
- Develop self-service integration patterns for engineering teams to embed cryptography into delivery pipelines.
- Maintain cryptographic key inventories and ensure audit and assurance readiness.
Requirements
- Experience as a Key Management Officer (KMO) or working closely with such roles under defined security procedures.
- Proven experience with HSM-backed platforms and cryptography services.
- Background in DevOps and platform engineering for security-critical services.
- Experience operating large-scale, business-critical platforms in regulated environments.
- Ability to balance automation with security and strict assurance controls.
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience with key ceremonies and split-knowledge models.
- Exposure to governance of physical key safes, coffers, or secure key storage.
- Experience modernizing or automating legacy cryptography operations.
