Senior Data Engineer

TL;DR

Senior Data Engineer (AI/eCommerce): Design and maintain high-throughput data pipelines processing billions of events to make reviews and UGC discoverable with an accent on data modeling for advanced search, LLMs, and personalized experiences. What you will do

• Architect high-throughput, low-latency data pipelines for billions of events.
• Build and optimize data models supporting LLM-based summaries, search, and personalization.
• Partner with AI researchers to operationalize ML models for real-time convertibility and relevance.
• Own end-to-end data stack lifecycle, ensuring scalability, reliability, and observability.
• Lead technical initiatives from ideation to production in a fast-paced environment.
• Drive best practices in modern data stack with DBT and automated quality gates.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent.
• 4+ years as Data Engineer or Backend Engineer with strong data focus.
• Advanced SQL and modern data warehousing (Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift).
• Experience designing data architectures for high-velocity streaming or content indexing.
• Builder mindset for independent work in fast-paced, startup-like global team.

Nice to have

• Extensive DBT experience for modular modeling.
• Strong Python and orchestration (Airflow, Dagster).
• Familiarity with AI/LLM integration or vector databases.
• Big Data stack: Spark, Databricks, Kubernetes, Docker.
• BI tools: Looker, Tableau, Superset.
