What you will do

  • Develop and lead large-scale public education campaigns for transportation safety and transit awareness.
  • Manage multi-channel marketing strategies including digital, print, radio, out-of-home, and grassroots outreach.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders such as the Department of Transportation, transit agencies, law enforcement, and community partners.
  • Conduct research, message testing, and audience segmentation to inform campaign strategy.
  • Oversee creative development, including messaging, visuals, and media placement.
  • Track campaign performance, analyze data, and optimize for impact and reach.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or public relations.
  • At least 2 years of experience focused on transportation, public safety, or behavioral change campaigns.
  • Demonstrated experience managing public awareness efforts around topics like seatbelt use, safe driving, or public transit ridership.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of marketing analytics tools and campaign performance metrics.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with Vision Zero, Safe Streets initiatives, or FTA-funded programs.
  • Experience with multilingual or culturally competent campaign development.
  • Creative direction or experience working closely with designers and media teams.
  • Crisis communications or media relations experience.
