What you will do

• Compile, integrate, edit, and maintain spatial data from diverse sources for GIS and customer environments.
• Develop scripts to automate tasks within GIS software.
• Analyze and correlate data from various sources linked to features.
• Investigate and resolve reported map problems.
• Perform data quality control and assurance.
• Produce project documentation and assist with project start-ups and client interactions as needed.
• Travel occasionally as required.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Geography, Computer Science, related field, or equivalent experience.
• Familiarity with ESRI and other GIS software.
• Knowledge of cartographic principles, standards, and terminology.
• Advanced skills in editing, manipulating, and analyzing data within GIS for utilities (gas, electric, telecom).
• Working knowledge of project tools and specifications.
• Detail-oriented, organized, quality-focused; able to work independently and in a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
