TL;DR

Location: Remote (UK-based), with occasional travel to Cardiff or Redhill as required

Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 per annum + 10% performance-based annual bonus

What you will do

  • Lead day-to-day performance of travel claims operations, managing workloads, backlogs, and surge volumes.
  • Drive a customer-first culture to improve communication and reduce avoidable customer contact.
  • Own the operational quality framework to ensure consistent and policy-accurate decision-making.
  • Manage, coach, and develop Team Leaders and supervisors of a fully remote claims workforce.
  • Act as the senior escalation point for complex, sensitive, or high-risk claims.
  • Analyze operational MI to identify risks and implement practical corrective actions.

Requirements

  • Proven leadership experience within travel insurance claims operations.
  • Strong technical knowledge across a wide range of travel insurance claim benefits.
  • Experience managing and developing remote teams.
  • High data literacy with the ability to turn MI into operational improvements.
  • Must be based in the UK.

Nice to have

  • Experience supporting operational growth or scaling claims teams.
  • Exposure to regulatory interactions or complex complaints handling.
  • Relevant insurance or claims professional qualifications.
