Construction Quality Assurance Analyst

Location: Douglas, Arizona, United States; on-site field work with travel between job sites as requested.

What you will do

• Conduct daily surveillance of field engineering and construction activities for major military construction projects.
• Provide guidance on construction safety, quality assurance, environmental best management practices, and compliance with contract requirements.
• Review contractor schedules, payment estimates, progress measurements, materials, equipment, plans, and specifications.
• Prepare daily activity and progress reports covering work quantities, weather, delays, instructions, and unusual project conditions.
• Monitor work layout and inspect construction in progress while supporting the construction oversight manager and government project representatives.
• Analyze construction problems and support project outreach and execution activities.

Requirements

• Mid-level profile with 3–10 years of experience and a bachelor’s degree, or an approved education and experience substitution.
• At least 3 years of construction oversight experience, including surveillance, monitoring, project control, technical data review, pay estimate preparation, and enforcement of construction and safety standards.
• Only U.S. citizens are eligible for a suitability determination. Ability to pass a government background investigation is required; an active U.S. Customs and Border Protection investigation is preferred.
• Ability to walk or climb to inspection points and work with mobility and endurance in varied terrain and hot, cold, or humid weather.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and project management software such as Procore or Autodesk.
• Strong written and verbal communication, problem-solving ability, teamwork, and experience managing multiple projects with separate schedules and budgets.

Nice to have

• OSHA 30 Construction certification.
• Mobile Elevated Work Platform, Construction Quality Management, or EM 385-1-1 certification.
• Horizontal construction experience and an active CBP background investigation.
