Build Technician A - Weekend Night

TL;DR

Build Technician A (Weekend Night): Polish, assemble, and prepare injection molds for the molding process with an accent on de-burring, drilling, tapping, grinding, and polishing mold components. Focus on fitting cams, calibrating tools, identifying and solving mold issues, and performing reworks.

Location: On-site in Rosemount, MN. Only U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents (green card holders), or refugees/asylees eligible due to ITAR regulations. Temporary visas not accepted.

Salary: $17.07 - $22.55 an hour

What you will do

• Prepare injection molds: de-burr halves and ejector plates, drill and tap holes, grind sprue pullers, cut guide and ejector pins, drill gates
• Assemble molds for molding process
• Polish mold halves to specified finish levels
• Perform specialized functions like contouring pins, venting, adding support pillars, core pins, and repair plugs
• Fit and assemble cams, calibrate pin cutter
• Identify and resolve mold issues and reworks, adhere to quality and safety standards

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Proven mechanical aptitude
• Experience with measurement instruments (micrometers, calipers, height gages)
• Experience with power tools in metalworking (drill press a plus)
• Able to work safely with sharp tools
• Able to read and write in English, good communication skills
• Must be punctual with good attendance; work in fast-paced team environment
