TL;DR
Employment Resource Advisor: Provide clients with information, tools, and resources for job search, career planning, self-assessment, and labour market research with an accent on enabling independent employability activities. Focus on supporting client intakes, screening readiness, assisting with applications and interviews, and maintaining up-to-date job boards and community resources.
Location: Revelstoke, BC. Ability to work in center Monday to Friday
Salary: $52,786.50 per year

What you will do
- Conduct ongoing intakes to support client pipeline and meet outcome goals at 4-week, 24-week, and 52-week marks
- Monitor WorkBC and other sites daily for job postings, update job board, and track employer opportunities
- Provide access to self-assessment tools for interests, personality, values, career planning, and employability
- Assist with eligibility checks, identity verification, client sign-in, workshop reminders, and readiness screening
- Support self-serve area access to computers, internet, software, LMI, phones, and fax
- Help with employment applications, interview preparation, follow-up, job search techniques, and resume trends
- Maintain directory of local community services and support employment consultants with case management
Requirements
- Post-secondary certificate or diploma in employment services, career development, human services, office administration, community support, education assistance, or related field; or equivalent education, training, and experience supporting job seekers
- Knowledge of local labour market, community resources, and government programs
- Knowledge of job search techniques, career development, and unemployment issues
- Solid understanding of confidentiality and professional codes; must submit criminal record check
- Ability to work in center Monday to Friday
- Computer literacy
Nice to have
- Certified Career Development Practitioner (CCDP) designation
- Experience in employment services sector
- Experience with provincial government tools like ICM and online employment services
