Senior Embedded Systems Developer (IoT): Designing and developing firmware for wireless devices and embedded Linux-based systems with an accent on IoT protocols like BLE, Zigbee, Matter and integration into ecosystems from Amazon, Control4, Legrand. Focus on firmware for MCUs under RTOS or bare metal, smart home gateways, sensors, wearables, pet trackers.

Location: Remote-friendly policy with offices in Denver, Porto, Voronezh, Yokohama, Tashkent

What you will do

• Design and develop firmware for wireless IoT devices including gateways, sensors, wearables, smart pet devices
• Develop embedded systems based on Linux or MCU firmware under RTOS or bare metal
• Integrate IoT devices into ecosystems like Amazon, Control4, Legrand
• Improve Zigbee stack and support existing codebase
• Interact directly with client's team

Requirements

• 3+ years professional experience in embedded firmware or Linux development
• BS degree
• Excellent C/C++ skills
• Experience developing and debugging firmware for MCU (OS-less/RTOS/Embedded Linux) or Linux on hardware platforms
• Ability to independently develop subsystems, document designs, support codebase, work in team
• Technical English

Nice to have

• Experience with protocols (UART, USB, TCP, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, MQTT, etc.)
• Wireless networks: Zigbee, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Z-Wave
• RTOS like FreeRTOS, Zephyr; device integration to cloud
• Python/scripting, code optimization, large codebase maintenance
• Team management, distributed team experience, fluent English
