What you will do

• Install and support critical computer systems, including servers, blade chassis, and network appliances, in highly regulated environments.
• Manage physical infrastructure such as server racks, cabinets, and fiber/copper cabling (trunks, panels, and patch cables).
• Monitor the data center environment for abnormalities in temperature, cooling, and power usage.
• Troubleshoot OSI Layer 1 connectivity issues using fiber and copper cable testers.
• Ensure all infrastructure activities meet NERC CIP and TSA cybersecurity and regulatory standards.
• Coordinate hardware and software upgrades in collaboration with control centers and business support teams.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field with 1+ year experience, or High School/GED with 2+ years experience.
• Must be able to lift 45lbs and work within raised-floor data center environments.
• Knowledge of OSI Layer 1, transceivers (SFPs, QSFPs), and cabling types (Cat5, Cat7, MPO, LC, SC, Twinax).
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, ServiceNow, and Agile-based tools like Jira and Kanban.
• Available for local travel between Cincinnati, OH, Harrison, OH, and Plainfield, IN.
• Must be able to work in a secure environment under strict regulatory compliance.

Nice to have

• CompTIA A+, Network+, or Server+ certifications.
• Practical experience working specifically within a Data Center environment.
• Strong understanding of NERC CIP and TSA regulatory requirements.
