What you will do

• Lead end-to-end design of high-complexity models, including deep learning, advanced forecasting, optimization, and NLP.
• Partner with senior leadership to define data science strategy, roadmaps, and the organization's analytical direction.
• Architect feature engineering frameworks, experimentation standards, and modeling conventions.
• Oversee the deployment and integration of models using Spark, Databricks, and MLflow within the Azure ecosystem.
• Mentor and technically guide L1 and L2 Data Scientists while standardizing best practices for code and validation.
• Integrate machine learning outputs with BI tools like Power BI to communicate insights to C-level and VP-level stakeholders.

Requirements

• Advanced experience in modeling, deep learning, and NLP.
• Strong proficiency in Azure and Databricks, specifically deploying models via MLflow and Spark.
• Expertise in model monitoring and detecting model drift in production environments.
• Ability to communicate analytical direction and complex insights to executive stakeholders.
• Technical English proficiency for reading, writing, and presenting.
• Must be based in Colombia.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI Genie in Databricks environments.
• Thought leadership through publications, open-source contributions, or conference participation.
• Exposure to data and AI governance and enterprise data strategy.
• Proficiency in AI tooling for workflow optimization and process automation.
• Experience with feature stores, AutoML, or H2O.
