What you will do

• Design and optimize large-scale distributed systems for multimodal pre-training, post-training, and inference at web scale.
• Develop high-throughput pipelines for multimodal data acquisition, filtering, and management.
• Advance capabilities in spatial-temporal compression, cross-modal alignment, and real-time video processing.
• Drive data quality studies and curation pipelines to support trillion-parameter models.
• Create evaluation frameworks, internal benchmarks, and reward models for multimodal reasoning.
• Build research tooling, prototypes, and full-stack applications to enable rapid iteration.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with multimodal pre-training, post-training, or fine-tuning (vision, audio, video).
• Expert-level proficiency in Python and strong experience with JAX, PyTorch, or XLA.
• Proven track record in building large-scale distributed ML systems and optimizing GPU utilization.
• Deep experience in designing scalable data pipelines for noisy, real-world multimodal data.
• Strong fundamentals in evaluation design, reward modeling, or RL techniques.
• Must be based in or able to work from Palo Alto, CA.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in Rust and/or C++ for performance-critical components.
• Experience with large-scale orchestration tools such as Spark, Ray, or Kubernetes.
• Background in building full-stack tooling, performant interfaces, or real-time research demos.
