What you will do

• Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and automated equipment to produce precision parts.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications for machining operations and tolerances.
• Load, modify CNC programs, select tooling, fixtures, and materials as needed.
• Monitor machine performance, make adjustments for quality and efficiency.
• Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, gauges to verify specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot issues, maintain records, and follow safety procedures.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve issues and improve processes.

Requirements

• Experience setting up and operating CNC machines (mills, lathes).
• Ability to read blueprints and work with tight tolerances.
• Proficiency with precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges).
• Skills in CNC programming modifications and machine troubleshooting.
• Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Available for first shift: Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:20pm in Norfolk, VA
