What you will do

• Develop backend services and platform components used across FT systems
• Design and implement scalable, reliable, and secure APIs and services
• Participate in full lifecycle of services: development, testing, deployment, and operation
• Improve system observability, monitoring, and operational reliability
• Work with cloud platforms, containerised environments, and modern infrastructure tooling
• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to deliver solutions based on system requirements

Requirements

• Good command of written and spoken English
• Basic understanding of backend programming concepts (APIs, services, data handling)
• Familiarity with at least one backend language: Java, Go, Python, or Node.js
• Understanding of data structures and algorithms
• Strong willingness to learn and curiosity about large-scale systems
• Awareness of software engineering best practices (testing, version control, CI/CD)
• Comfortable working in Linux/Unix-like environment

Nice to have

• Exposure to RESTful APIs, microservices, or distributed systems
• Basic understanding of cloud computing (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Familiarity with containers/orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
• Experience with Git
• Relevant projects in backend or platform engineering
