Cluster Deployment Engineer (AI): Own deployment strategy for large-scale AI compute clusters across datacenter fleets with an accent on rack organization, pod/hall/site layouts, and infrastructure interfaces. Focus on driving multi-threaded bring-up programs, setting rack standards, and ensuring predictable scalability across hardware generations.

Location: Remote-Friendly, United States. Expect to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time.

Salary: $320,000 - $405,000 USD

What you will do

• Own cluster-level deployment strategy, defining organization, interconnections, and topology translation to facility scope.
• Set rack interface standards for power, network, mechanical, thermal, and spatial domains.
• Drive cluster bring-up programs across hardware, networking, power, and cooling from spec to turn-up.
• Partner with internal teams to derisk new hardware and translate requirements into deployable scope.
• Lead external partners on technical reviews, deviation management, and handoffs.
• Improve turn-up reliability with tooling, KPIs, and cross-functional coordination.

Requirements

• 10+ years in hyperscale datacenters with senior responsibility for cluster deployment or large-scale IT integration
• Delivered AI, HPC, or high-density clusters; intuition for interconnect, power density, thermal limits
• Experience setting interface standards across IT hardware and facility infrastructure
• Led cross-functional programs with internal and external partners
• Strong systems thinking, execution discipline, and communication for technical/executive audiences
• Bachelor's in Electrical/Mechanical/Computer Engineering or equivalent

Nice to have

• Direct experience with leading-edge AI accelerator clusters at hyperscale
• Shaped reference designs or deployment standards adopted fleet-wide
• Worked across geographies on regional codes, climate, utilities
• Partnered on hardware onboarding and program mechanisms at scale
