What you will do

• Design and deploy metrics and test strategies at scale to evaluate AV behavior in simulation and on-road.
• Translate validation strategies into production-quality code and automation pipelines for continuous AV behavior analysis.
• Leverage AI-assisted and agentic workflows to build internal tools and frameworks for metrics, tests, and validation.
• Ensure quality and reliability of validation outputs through monitoring, alerting, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate across teams to establish coding and automation best practices and meet stakeholder needs.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or related fields.
• 1–3 years of professional software engineering experience (including internships, co-ops, or research) building automation, internal tools, or data/analysis pipelines.
• Using large language models (LLMs) to summarize results, generate reports, or accelerate analysis.
• Building simple agents or scripts that chain tools together end-to-end.
• Strong programming skills in Python and experience with SQL.
• Experience with clean, well-tested code for data processing, backend services, or analytical workflows; working with large datasets; strong analytical thinking.
• Ability to adapt under ambiguity, excellent communication, and willingness to learn new tools in autonomous systems.

Nice to have

• Track record in safety-critical or high-reliability software, verification/validation tools, or CI/CD automation.
• Experience with robotics, autonomous vehicles, ADAS, dashboards, or data visualizations (Looker, Jupyter).
• Modern practices: Git, code review, continuous integration, automated testing and monitoring.
