TL;DR

Software Engineer - Virtualization & SIL Integration: Integrate Plant models and Virtual-ECU models into co-simulation environments for developing, verifying, and validating embedded software with an accent on dynamic simulation and serial data connectivity bridges. Focus on parameterizing sub-system models, supporting Azure cloud deployment, and maintaining simulation documentation.

Location: Hybrid in Milford, Michigan - report to office at least 3 times a week. No immigration sponsorship (H1-B, OPT, etc.). No relocation benefits.

What you will do

  • Integrate Plant models and Virtual-ECU models into dynamic co-simulation environments.
  • Develop, integrate, and maintain serial data connectivity bridges between co-simulation platforms, virtual controllers, models, and tools.
  • Obtain, develop, and parameterize sub-system models like sensors, actuators, and ECU behavioral models.
  • Provide support for released simulations, user testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Support deployment of simulations on Azure cloud.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation for each release.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science or similar.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant professional engineering experience.
  • Proficient in Embedded C and Python.
  • Hands-on experience with dSPACE tools such as VEOS and ControlDesk.
  • Experience with GitHub and GitHub Actions for version control and CI/CD.
  • Experience with MATLAB, Simulink, and simulation tools (e.g., GT-Power, AMESIM, CarSim).
  • Knowledge of automotive communication technologies: CAN, LIN, SPI, automotive Ethernet.
  • Familiarity with AUTOSAR Layered Software Architecture.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree in relevant field.
  • Co-Simulation expertise with Level-4 VECUs.
  • Proficiency in EDA toolchains like Synopsys Virtualizer and Cadence/ASTC vLAB.
  • Knowledge of ARM-based microcontrollers.
  • Excellent communication skills.
