TL;DR
Head of Compliance (RCSI) (Fintech): Architect compliance policies from scratch and lead license applications (MiCA, PSI) for a high-growth personal finance app with an accent on enabling product expansion safely. Focus on building regulatory relationships, scaling the compliance team, and reducing friction without increasing risk.
Location: Paris, hybrid setup with in-person meetings 6 times a year. Teammates across France and Europe.
Salary: €110,000 - €150,000 + meaningful equity

What you will do
- Build the compliance operating model: define structure, scope, and priorities from near-scratch in a fast-paced, multi-product fintech.
- Lead licensing: drive MiCA and other applications end-to-end, from scoping to approval.
- Enable product growth: partner with Product to reduce compliance friction safely.
- Handle regulators: build relationships with AMF, ACPR, and European regulators; own governance and reporting.
- Lead and grow the team: develop talent and scale headcount as complexity increases.
Requirements
- Business-first mindset: see compliance as growth enabler, start with "how can we make this work?".
- Builder mentality: built or expanded compliance function from scratch.
- Licensing experience: led at least one license application (PSI, PSAN, MiCA) end-to-end.
- High-velocity tolerance: thrive in fast-paced environments with ambiguity.
- Regulatory depth: deep knowledge of AMF/ACPR, MiFID II, MiCA, GDPR.
- Tech collaboration: partner with Product and Engineering on compliance tools.
