TL;DR

Senior Python Developer (Creator Platform): Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs powering creator features with an accent on video processing, content management, creator workflows, and platform scalability. Focus on solving complex technical challenges in distributed systems, async processing, and event-driven architectures.

Location: Paris with 3 days remote per week

Video platform providing hosting, streaming solutions for professionals, and advertising tools, with 400 employees across France, New York, and Singapore.

What you will do

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs for creator features
  • Work with Python stack and legacy PHP in monolithic and microservice architectures
  • Solve challenges in video processing, content management, workflows, and scalability
  • Make architectural decisions balancing technical excellence, creator needs, and business goals
  • Produce technical specifications, participate in code reviews, and champion best practices
  • Collaborate with product, design, data, and engineering teams

Requirements

  • 5+ years backend development experience shipping production systems at scale
  • Python mastery; experience with PHP or willingness to work on legacy PHP
  • Solid fundamentals: APIs, databases, caching, queuing, distributed systems
  • Modern architecture: async processing, event-driven systems
  • API design: REST, GraphQL
  • Cloud: AWS, GCP, or Azure; Docker; Git, CI/CD
  • Autonomy and English mandatory as team's daily language

Nice to have

  • AI tools like Copilot or ChatGPT for prototyping and debugging
  • Startup or resource-constrained production experience
  • Writing clear technical specs
  • Highly responsive communication
