We build artificial intelligence enabling service robots to collaborate with people in dynamic environments like hospitals, operating a production fleet of mobile manipulation robots.

What you will do

  • Own core robot system foundations including device firmware, low-level drivers, Linux configuration, and deployment reliability
  • Build and maintain robust sensor drivers and hardware interfaces with clear contracts and observability
  • Lead sensor calibration, time synchronization, and data integrity across devices
  • Improve system build and deployment reproducibility using containerization and deterministic builds
  • Maintain documentation and playbooks for better debuggability
  • Partner with teams to meet latency, throughput, and reliability needs
  • Contribute to architecture for modularity, maintainability, and scalability

Requirements

  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related
  • 5+ years professional software engineering in robotics, autonomous vehicles, or cyber-physical systems
  • Experience with sensor calibration and time synchronization
  • Comfort with networking concepts for robotic systems (latency, bandwidth, protocols, debugging)
  • Experience with Linux-based IoT/robot deployments including OTA/fleet updates
  • Experience with reproducible build systems (Docker, Nix, or similar)

Nice to have

  • Experience with robot software stacks, ROS, controls, or on-robot performance/debugging
