Senior Autonomy Development Engineer (Robotics)

TL;DR

Senior Autonomy Development Engineer (C++/ROS): Developing semi-autonomous and autonomous software solutions for heavy equipment with an accent on positioning, planning, perception, and controls. Focus on prototyping and productionizing high-quality C++ code to solve real-world robotics challenges in mining and construction.

Location: Onsite five days a week in Mossville, IL or Irving, TX. Domestic relocation assistance is available. Visa sponsorship is NOT available.

What you will do

• Develop production-quality C++ software including design, documentation, and validation.
• Contribute to requirements generation and architecture for semi-autonomous and autonomous solutions.
• Support functional safety software design and the validation process.
• Collaborate with and mentor team members to execute project goals.
• Prototype and productionize solutions integrating positioning, planning, perception, and controls.

Requirements

• Excellence in C++ programming with strong debugging and profiling skills.
• Proven experience in Robotics, Autonomy, or Automation technical projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Ability to work onsite five days a week in Mossville, IL or Irving, TX.
• Must not require visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of robotics frameworks such as Robot Operating System (ROS).
• Experience in Mining or Construction industries.
• Knowledge of telematics-based messaging and machine protocols.
• Experience with heavy machinery such as Excavators, Wheel Loaders, or Motor Graders.
