What you will do

• Lead the architecture of inner and outer developer loops, including build orchestration and monorepo workflows.
• Implement AI-enabled productivity tools and techniques to enhance software engineering practices.
• Establish a measurement-driven culture using profiling, tracing, and debugging to resolve infrastructure challenges.
• Drive cross-organizational initiatives to reduce friction in the development lifecycle and mitigate systemic risks.
• Define long-term technical strategies for engineering productivity in collaboration with leadership.
• Mentor engineers and foster a collaborative environment for continuous learning.

Requirements

• Proven track record of building and operating large-scale, production-grade systems and developer tooling.
• Experience leading high-impact technical initiatives across multiple teams.
• Deep understanding of modern build systems (e.g., Bazel, Gradle, Cargo), dependency modeling, and caching.
• Expertise in systems programming and infrastructure platforms designed as products.
• Must have current and unrestricted working rights in Australia (no visa sponsorship provided).
• Strong ability to operate in ambiguous problem spaces and influence technical direction.
