Sample Management Technician

What you will do

• Receive and accurately check in biological samples
• Maintain complete recordkeeping for check-ins, transfers, chain of custody, and freezer logs
• Coordinate with clients or sites for sample management
• Perform manual data entry and store samples correctly for long-term use
• Rack samples for production and count them at study end
• Monitor and maintain refrigerators/freezers, including defrosting and documentation
• Keep lab and freezer spaces clean and organized

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in repetitive tasks
• Nicotine-free preferred to prevent sample contamination
• Previous lab or science experience preferred
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
• Self-motivated with independent work management
