What you will do

• Transport hundreds of TBs of data globally cost-effectively using tools like Delta Sharing and Cloudflare R2.
• Handle peak traffic of 100,000 QPS for major applications without downtime.
• Detect botnets and fraud (Sybil) via behavioral patterns and heuristics adapted to blockchain.
• Design customer-owned APIs and real-time data stream transformations.
• Ensure data governance, consistency across regions, and auditability with SOC 1/2 compliance.
• Build AI/LLM experiences on blockchain data and unify streaming/batch transformation logic.

Requirements

• Curious mindset and strong work ethic to solve novel problems daily in unexplored territory.
• Ability to overlap 2 hours on NYC mornings (10am-12pm ET) Mon-Thu.
• High agency, responsiveness, and resourcefulness in learning new frameworks, tools, and procedures.
• Proven ability to lead by example, build MVPs, and drive improvements.
• Understanding of how engineering work creates business leverage.

Nice to have

• Experience with OLAP (Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, ClickHouse), OLTP (Postgres, Aurora), event buses (Kafka), clouds (AWS, GCP), and transformation tools (Beam, DBT).
• Background in data engineering, high-scale systems, or blockchain.
