What you will do

• Design and optimize scalable backend services, data pipelines, and relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL/Snowflake) using Go on AWS.
• Lead technical workstreams as an individual contributor, writing production code and reviewing PRs to ensure technical coherence.
• Develop and maintain distributed, event-driven microservices architectures.
• Drive system reliability, observability, and data consistency.
• Implement infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and manage CI/CD via GitHub Actions.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software engineering experience with deep expertise in backend systems and data-intensive applications.
• Expert-level relational database knowledge, including schema design and performance tuning at scale.
• Production experience with AWS services such as EKS, RDS, DynamoDB, and S3.
• Proficiency in Go as the primary backend language.
• Proven experience with data pipelines, ETL/ELT, and synchronization in distributed systems.
• Must be based in Ukraine, Poland, Romania, Brazil, or Colombia.

Nice to have

• Experience with agentic AI development workflows and AI coding assistants (Claude Code, Cursor).
• Ability to design agent-friendly, deterministic APIs and data interfaces.
• Experience with non-relational databases like Redis or Elasticsearch.
• Background in regulated industries such as life sciences, healthcare, or fintech.
• Knowledge of distributed tracing and observability tools.
