Golang Tech Lead (Staff Software Engineer): Design and deliver scalable backend systems for hirify.global’s AI-powered Workforce Management solution with an accent on architecture, scalability, and operational excellence. Focus on leading full SDLC for multi-developer initiatives, optimizing system performance and reliability, and driving technical direction across squads.

Location: Hybrid in Krakow, Poland - must attend local office 2 days per week. Extended Stay Program allows up to 90 days outside country of jurisdiction.

Salary: zł304,000–zł456,000 annualized base (Poland).

What you will do

• Own design, implementation, testing, review, and maintenance of high-quality Golang services used by millions.
• Lead full SDLC for multi-developer initiatives from discovery to delivery, monitoring, and support.
• Influence cross-squad technical direction, architecture, and system boundaries for mission-critical areas.
• Translate product and customer needs into scalable solutions with PMs, SREs, and customer teams.
• Manage technical debt, optimize performance, reliability, observability, and resolve production incidents.
• Participate in recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding to build high-performing teams.

Requirements

• 8+ years software engineering experience, 5+ years backend/integration.
• Advanced Go proficiency, Go testing, Docker/containerized development.
• Relational DBs (PostgreSQL, MySQL), performant data models/queries.
• AWS/cloud, IaC (Terraform), distributed systems concepts.
• Event-driven architectures, Kafka at scale, REST API design, automated testing.
• Communication, mentoring in Agile environment.

Nice to have

• PHP/Laravel for integrations.
• ClickHouse/OLAP databases.
• Datadog, Sentry, CI/CD (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Spinnaker), Kubernetes.
• Workforce Management/scheduling systems experience.
